The auction don't specify. Mine is 10" open tip of blade to end of bail.

If it is 11" closed, that is a big knife and I can see that kind of price, well sort of

If that is the measurement open, that seems way too high for these type knives

It appears to be 11" open and I would bet the seller probably has a good deal on some bridge property yn Broklyn as well.

Tell you what;I have THREE Rizzutos of various sizes I'll part with for only $500.00. Now how can you beat that deal?

The value today is simply the luck of the draw. Quality means nothing. I remember getting them for $10 or less in Tijuana Mexico in the 70's. They were considered tourist's knives. For $25 you could get 2 knives and a leather jacket. Add a little more money and they upholstered your car using cow dung and hay for a replacement to foam cusions

The faux pearl handled one looks German rather than Italian judging by the blade grind.Also does one side of the front bolster pivot to release the blade lock? That is usually characteristic of German autos.Time frame starts around the 1960's and works up.Ditto for the Rizzuto. The 3rd knife;the picture I am seeing has the bolsters looking like they are either covered with verdigris or they are blue-green anodized.Maybe the picture.Probably the same era.
Value is whatever you can get;prices vary widely around the country.I've never paid more than $50 for one but then I'm a cheap SOB lol

EDIT: I was referring to the good ones;the Rizzuto I've never paid more than $10 for one.

knife7, howdy good info thanks, you r right about the bolster release on the inox and they are nickel silver I believe ,that was a little verdigris on them.
