Novelty Remington's

Remington along with other companys, produced a ton of novelty knives. There are nehi, airplanes, ships and legs just to name a few. It seems that 99% of these found today are fakes/reproductions that are being past off as vintage. Is there a definitive guide out there to help spot the fakes?

There was an excellent article in Knife World about the Remington Nehi knives. Plenty of pictures and what to look at when determining whether real or reproduction. I'll check tomorrow and see what issue it was in.

I don't think Remington ever made airplane or ship novelty knives. If the handle is brass it is probably a fantasy knife.

I just recently aquired a Remington Leg knife handled in green swirl Pyremite, I'll post picture as soon as I can.
