All About Pocket Knives

I've gotta be crazy to love doing this stuff! I started on another 110 today. The blade was pretty loose, so I tightened it up a bit after polishing. I can flip this knife open with just a flick of the wrist, no thumb stud or any add ons. As fast as an auto, but perfectly legal. I have done some filework to the lock bar and plan to install some dropped elk stag handles tommorow. I also did a modified clip on this one, like the "barehead" 110 posted previously. The batteries are dead in the camera, so the scanner has to do. I'll finish cleaning the blade tommorow too.

Question for the Man. Do you do the file work on the backspring with it right out of the knife or do you anneal it first, then do the file work and heat treat it ?

I filework it right out of the knife, a good sharp chainsaw file will slice right through the hardest of springs. Besides, they are tempered to a spring consistancy, so they actually aren't that hard. good luck
