This is the first time I'm posting on this forum. I thought everyone would be interested in a photo of the new Lumberjack. it's from The GEC homepage. I'm assuming it's okay to post it since we all love their knives.

I'm assuming that the handle material shown is canvas micarta. In anycase it looks like that knife could have been made 100 years ago. The shield is an old-time double handle logging cross-cut saw. Someone thought about this. Really cool looking.

I wasn't sure about the Lumber Jack pattern when I first saw it...though now it's either the canvas micarta, single bolster or lanyard hole..but one of them has me by a hold...

At first I wasn't sure about this one, but I'm thinking it could be worth a shot.
There is something I love and hate all at the same time. I guess the only way to figure it out it to try one.

It is one hawg of a knife! Here it is next to my 73 Jack:
I think the lanyard hole is to put the thing around yer neck! Or maybe that's why lumberjacks wear suspenders.
I LIKE IT !!!
