Howdy friends,

Has anyone seen the brand new Bulldog 2007 - Anglo Saxon Whittler patterns yet? ....I got my new copy of "Parker's Knife Collecting Service" the other day & it has six different new Whittlers with the three different Tang Stamps, one for each blade that sport the two dog heads, the standing single dog & the fighting DBL dogs. Also on these knives there is a large Nickle Silver Oval shield with "James F. Parker" stamped into it & the front side of the main blade has an etch of a bust of Jim Parker & the quote of "The Father of Knife Collecting" on it. These knives are done in a 48 run only for each handle & are handled with two natural, Stag & Buffalo Horn & four others in cell (Oyster Shell, Choke Cherry, Blue Sparkle & Aqua Chips) ....If any of you have seen these I would like to hear your thoughts on them?

I saw those Roger. I like 'em. 3 color blade etch, and double pull on master blade. Nice tribute to Mr. Parker.
I noticed that it didn't say how long they are. Any idea? ::shrug::

I saw a couple on ebay, at $74.99 there was no bidders. Kind of surprised. But, it seems like prices are down, or at least what bidders are willing to pay.

I believe that they made the congress in sets of 100, I could be mistaken. I believe they sold well, memorial knives can be a hit or miss kind of thing.

I recall seeing a lot of Bulldog Anglo-Saxons at the end of last year, including a lot of prototypes.

That Congress looks great. I have been wanting one of those but I haven't bought one. If I do, it will be my first Bulldog.

I think that may be the one in Red Stag Johnnierotten but check out the prices on ebay. The newer Bulldog knives have been going for less than you can buy them from Parker's in some cases I've seen. Now would be a good time to be looking for a Bulldog based on the prices I've seen in the last few months.

Back to Roger's question, anyone get their hands on one? Thoughts? Comments?
