All About Pocket Knives

I'm working on an ultra top secret project (at least I tried to make it sound cool ). I will need a lanyard means of some kind. It came with a bail. But I am stuck, should I reinstall the bail after the overhaul and customization, or should I install a brass lined lanyard hole? I will leave this choice up to you fellas.
