All About Pocket Knives

This is another copperlock I finished today. It is of the wharnecliffe variety. He specified high end ironwood and smooth the action out. I am out of the burl, so I did the best I could. I personally think it came out quite nice. The machine marks in the lock bar were scary, no wonder the action was so rough. I couldn't get all of them out, but it's real smooth now. I also reshaped the rear bolster a tad. I love the pile side scale. What do you all think? Still trying to improve my photo capabilities.

Great job, MM. Smoothing the edges on the rear bolster will let it ride a little easier in the pocket. Nice.

Very impressive MM, I would love to see a picture of what it looked like before the custom work. What do you think of the copperlock model, I have never owned one but they intrique me..

Hey Fellas, thanks for the kind words.

The copperlock is a really nice pattern. From the factory the edges are a bit chiselly (is that a word?) I thinned mine down on the sander, it's paper thin on the edge now and takes an edge extremely well, I haven't had the pleasure of owning one of the clip point models, just the wharnecliffe. They have a good strong action, and are generally smooth too. This one was just a Yellow handle CV one at the start.
