Dating Kissing Cranes

I read somewhere about the 2 separate divisions of Kissing Crane and Cranes.One German and one Chinese.I would like to know if there are recognition on the German knives as to the time period made in Germany.It seems to have a Roman numeral system.Here's my knife in question:

Lyle,
She was born in 1985.
The 3235 breaks down to a 32 pattern, 3blade, and the 5 is for stag.
The roman numeral dating system started in 1972 with XI, 1973 = XII, 1974=XIII and so on till 1986.

That one was made between 1986-and the KC prefix, which started either 1991 or 1992.
Both are nice German made knives.
