Ok here are the real pictures.
Well the seller has no excuse on this one, it says Pakistan right on the box but you can't tell from his pictures. Your basic cheap metal clasp knife. Bulldog never made this, Pakistan is lightly etched in the tang and can be easily removed. Some day I may do something with this, use it for filework practice, wait, I would have to replace all the parts, even the blade is no good. Well the one I have for show and tell has good snap, so I can keep the spring. ::shrug:: I guess it is supposed to be like a Case clasp knife, but they never made one this bad. Pakistan ::barf:: ::cr::
Well, I guess it would make an OK 600 meter target for a .300 mag.

Sorry, but every time I see one I feel the need to flame it. I should take some close ups so you can see how bad it really is.

They have a local auction here once a week, one week out of the month they have knives. It is frequented by a bunch of self proclaimed knife experts. I watched one of those go for $80 one night, couldn't help but laugh and shake my head in disbelief. Yet I snagged a schrade walden 234K for $7 and a schrade cut co sleeveboard pen for $7, go figure ::shrug::

Not Cool

Why don't these sellers just come out and admit it's a fake? Sell it for what it is and he'd probably make more money than he needs anyway.

There's too many buyers who don't have a clue what they're buying. ::dang::

Well, I did send the seller an email and here is the response;
HI why do you think it is only.99, I was not sure .Thanks Jo Ann

All of this sellers items started at $.99, does that mean she is unsure of all of them? Why is she unsure when it CLEARLY says Pakistan on the box?
She never responded to my comment "that if I was unknowing and I recieved a Pakistan knife from a seller who did not reveal the origin, I would leave negative feedback".

::td:: ::td:: Bad seller in my opinion. She knows what is now for sure, but I bet she did already! The dimensions are about the same as a Case Clasp knife, any resemblance stops right there!

Trying to get to the bottom of this

Hukk,

I didn't bother to check out everything she'd sold, but my guess it that this person took a course on how to sell on eBay and is following their bad advice. I doubt she knows that this is a counterfiet, she just knows it was made in Pakistan. After all should she know where it's supposed to be made?

If she really doesn't know anything about what she's selling she should list as much as she can about it and let us would be buyers worry about the fact that Bulldogs aren't made in Pakistan.

The fact that it is a fake will only deter the informed. Someone who likes it will still buy it.

It's rather hard to prove that she's an expert on knives when she's listing some of the other knives at $.99 as well and they are worth more.

I'd give this seller the benefit of the doubt, but I still wouldn't bid on this knife. :D
