Special Aussie Schrade

Here is a 96OT that came into my shop over a year ago. Because of the problems with my hand I was unable to do the work on it until recently.
The handles are black bone with five round white bone inlays. The white inlays represent the five stars in the constellation, The Southern Cross. The Southern Cross are the stars on the right side of the Australian flag. I am told the pattern is easily recognizable to all Australians. This knife was commissioned by one of my Australian customers.
Beside the handles I did rope filework on the backspring. It was fun to create a piece of work that is so meaningful to the person for whom I was making it.
Thought he has not received the knife yet he was very excited when he saw the picture.
This was a fun project for me.
