CASE TESTED 8344 PEARL PREM STOCK KNIFE??

I took a gander at this knife, which raised my suspicions. I would appreciate any feedback on your opinions.

I'd pass on this one. The tang stamp looks all wrong. Looks like it was stamped
yesterday. And the profile of the clip blade just looks wrong. JMO.

It is not a Case knife...maybe Knifeaholic can shed light on who made it???

I know the master blade is wrong on this knife look at the hugh nail nick, also the sheep foot blade should angle down quicker on a tested knife. The whole knife is most likley wrong.

Looks to me like it was made out of a 60's to 70's era Queen pearl stockman.

stamps can be made for cheap. Looks to me as if the tang(on the queen, thanks Knifeaholic) was ground, then cold stamped.
Like to know the sellers id as the ad says much more and he could be a known shyster.

I also tried to fix the link on the first thread. I guess that edit button really works. That's even better than a spell check.
I've purchased from this seller before. I haven't had a reason to complain before. You learn who to trust and not to trust on eBay. Although the pictures were clear enough.

Not to mention, the crack right through the middle of the MOP
. Also, the mop is the wrong color/type for being that age
. I would take Knifeaholics advice as he is the man about these matters

Hey guys. Heres my best guess the knife has been completely reworked. The handles have been replaced the main blade has the case tang stamp witch I think might be original. The reason I say that is that in my 4th edition knife collectors book by Roy Ritchie and Ron Stewart on page 191 there is a tang stamp example for 1920 to 1940 that looks exactly like the one on the blade. My thought is that they took a main blade that could have been original and made a knife out of it. I wonder where these guys get these pattern numbers from if case diddn't start using them until the 40's. Anytime theres something good in the world money comes along and men and women get gold fever and ruin it for others. I'ts just to bad. Oh well enjoy life while you can.
