Nice ones, HP. I've been giving a lot of thought to getting a 3-spring whittler. How much wider are they than a stockman? Obviously a spring width, but I'm curious if the secondary blades are of thinner stock. A photo looking at the end of both knives would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Great pics, Dennis. Thanks. They do help. I'm guessing that whittler is the same thickness as the broad-shouldered Tuna Valley 4-blade stockman.
Borrowed pic of a TV on the left compared to a 53 Furtaker trapper on the right.

hey classic --very impressive especially the best of many cuban acrylics. i.m.o. acrylics lose a lot when used on the smaller knives. if one wishes to show distinctive colors then larger frames certainly accent that feature. all in all the 53 & 54 frames certainly are one of my favs in my gec collection. more on this later.--HiPower

I bought 2 of every knife GEC made stamped 2006 and 2007.(with a very few exceptions of some of the really rare ones.) That got to be a bit expensive.lol

the 53 cuban varities---musk,trapper furtaker, musk furtaker, stock cattleman, stock standard & a 54 hybrid called the cobblestone whittler. the cobblestone is at present the only gec pattern in that configriation[ to my knowledge]
