That stamp is sweet. Makes you wonder about those crappy Challenge stamps you see. That etch on the blade looks deep! ::tu::

IF I read the history of Challenge Razor Works correctly they only used that mark from 1892-1898. Then they started marking everything Challenge Cutlery Corp.

I figured just by looking at it and the box that it was probably 1920's. Figured wrong again. ::dang::

Willie, that's as nice a plain black handled razor as I've ever seen.

Do you think the tang might actually be etched, like the blade, instead of stamped?

Beautiful old razor, with what I bet is a fairly rare mark in just superb condition. A prize, for sure.

Thanks Charlie, I think the tang is etched.

The full size pic shows it a lot better than that one but it sure looks more like an etch than a stamp to me.
