Hi

I am trying to locate a Parker Trader Volume 7. Does anyone have it that can answer a question that has come up for me? The knife I discussed earlier in this forum was advertised as being listed in Parker's volume 7. I was told by another source that it was not. It is a 1977 W 165SSP SAB without scrimshaw.
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks

BlueMax :)

the moby dick is listed, but not the plain version. in 78 there is a plain white bone w154ssp 1 of 100 for jim parker. is it possible this is what you have?

No, the blade is marked W 165ssp SAB and is 3 dot. I believe that is 1977.. Case did say that they produced some Moby Dick without the scrimshaw so that is most likely what it is. I was told that it is probably more valuable without the scrimshaw. I guess that would be because it would be more rare.
Thanks for checking for me.

Howdy Bluemax,

Try going to ---> http://www.spaceportcutlery.com/tek9.asp & ask knifekid (Perry Miller) about your knife value for this piece, Perry is one of the co-authers of the new & up coming Pocket Knife Traders Guide - volume #8, he may have the information you are seeking?
