can someone tell me if the center pin hole looks normal or not, looks like it has been double punch wondering if this is something that you see on case knives from time to time or has someone tamper with knife

Looks like someone at the factory slipped with the pin spinner. You do see these knives with that blemish from time to time. Poor quality control unfortunately.

Jack,
This seller has been the subject of any number of conversations on this forum. If I were you, I'd do a search here using his name.
You can search by going to a line of links above, just a couple of lines beneath the crawl.

i have two 1977 blue scroll fixed blades with pins that look like that. i would agree with hoarder, this one slipped by the sleeping quality control at case.

Am not a fan of this seller, however I don't think this blemish is of his doing.
The quality control started to slip at Case in the mid 70's and continues today.
Very seldom do you come across factory errors from the early days of Case and if you do those knives can command higher prices do to the rarity of such knives.

Jack, to answer your question about this seller, he has been known to sell some cobbled together knives.
If in red, buyer beware.
I'll leave it at that!
