All About Pocket Knives

We recently had some repairs done to the house and the workers were admiring my collection so i showed them a few roles. I had the six Scout knives below in a sack-up roll. When they left so did these knives. I want to replace them over time when I can afford it and I would rather buy from you guys than ebay if possible. i'm watching a very nice Imperial right now however. If any of you have an extra of any of these you would consider selling please let me know.

those are some nice looking scouts tank. unfortunately there are very shaddy characters around, even worse is when you trust them.
wish i could help, but i don't collect scouts. i do have a few, but nothing as nice as what you had.

I sent something Priority Rate on Monday Tank, I can't believe it's not there yet. If it doesn't arrive by Wednesday, I'll Fedex you another package.

I won't go into my disgust about you being ripped-off. Looks like we're all thinking the same Tank. Bottom line is that Id like to help. I enlarged and saved the picture and will take it to the shop with me today. I've got several Scouts and may very well be able to help. Since I do Kabar's folder repair's, I'm certain I have a mint Kabar Scout for you. As for the other brands, I'll know more by the end of the day. Contact info will be coming through PM so we can talk about specific models, but I know how close a guy becomes with his hobby and for those guys to have robbed you of that part of your life is unforgivable.

You guys are simply awesome but I wasn't asking that you give up your hard earned knives. I will gladly buy them over a period of time.

So far I've got a Pal, a Western, Kabar and a Craftsman. One of them needs a bail, but a little 3/32" nickel-silver rod, a hammer, anvil and drill can make a new one pretty easily. They all need a little cleaning from just laying in a bin in the workshop for a long time, but there's no serious damage to any of them. Anybody got a different brand to offer up?

I sent an Ulster (#5) and the Imperial (#6). They're not museum pieces, but they'll hopefully fill those empty slots.

It's a damn shame you go out of your way to extend kindness is showing them your collection and have it turn out that way.

Bob, thank you so much for offering to send those knives. I have received duplicates on the Ulster Imperial and Camillus ones but none of the Ka-bar Craftsman or the Dwight Divine Ulster. My brother is a pretty decent knife smitty. He could fix the lbail with no problem. Once again I don't mind purchasing them from you over time. Everyone here has pulled together to me so much. It's unbelievable. If I can pay it forward I will.

Too late as I fixed the bail on the Craftsman today and the nicest looking Kabar must've been used as a parts knife at one time because the main blade was missing. I had one and put it in today though. As I sift through all the Scouts I've picked-up in my search for knives for parts over the years, I keep running into more that I didn't know I had. Let me finish cleaning them up enough to read thoroughly because it seems like there are more than I had originally thought. Stay tuned..........

I think Tank's going to end up with a pretty nice scout collection, even better than what he had before the thieves came to his house.

I have an Ulster, but who the heck is Dwight Divine? Aside from the Kabar and Craftsman, I've also found a Pal, a Western and a Seneca (Utica, NY). I did have clean some crud from them as most have been sitting in bins in my workshop for a few years, but they turned out pretty nice. If I don't run across anymore today, I'll be shipping what I have tomorrow.

Here's a sneek-peek of what's coming Tank. Just thought I'd save you the trouble of taking pics when they arrive. Also, there are a couple of things I'd like to mention about the little Seneca Scout. First off, it's a merciless nail breaker. I used to jokingly brag that my fingernails were so tough, I could pry hubcaps off and actually did a couple of times (if they were loose). This thing is MEAN! A simply amazing backspring! The other thing is their Can-opener Blade. I think I've seen this same blade on another "brand of old", but don't recall who. Anyway, I've included a close-up of it in case some Guru sees it and can help.
