All About Pocket Knives

I was looking for a thread devoted to vintage Schatt and Morgans but didn't find one. Maybe some of you will post yours here?

The top one has a single blade and is 7 7/8 inches long opened. The bottom one has two blades and is 5 1/2 inches open.

I'll help out a little...I only have one...a 5 1/2" toothpick.

Love that single blade of yours...pretty bone and cool shield...

Well I guess I have one too. Just found out that was what it was. The tang was so dirty that it took a lot of Flitz to see the logo and writing.This belonged to my dad in the 60's. It's an ugly little knife and was used a lot. The blade has some wobble on it and as you can see, it was sharpened quite a bit...but, it is an oldie for sure.

Ran across this going through some of my fathers things.

This one is waterfall. I'm pretty sure it's pre-1928.

I have a collection of these old Schatts. I will add a photo from time to time.

No, it is shorter than a Eureka jack which is 3” long. Levine calls it a Serpentine jack as he also does the Peanut at 2 7/8” long. I am showing it here alongside three Schatt Peanuts. Queen made this Peanut again in pearl in their XIV Keystone Series and called it a Reverse Peanut. It was 2 7/8" long also.

There are such fantastic knives in this thread! Here are a few more just to keep this thread up top.

I like these English jacks. One of my favorite patterns, all are Schatts except the Queen City on the left.

Thank you folks. Here are some lockbacks from Schatt & Mogan. Queen reproduced the big hunter in their File & Wire series last year. It is a handfull.

I like 'em all! But, especially the toothpick! I think this may be my only S&M. I've been told it has the earliest of the Titusville stamps. I really don't know for sure. It reads Schatt & Morgan Cutlery Co.-Titusville, PA. Same person dated it 1897-1905.
At 5-1/2", it is one of the bigger toothpicks i've come across.
