GEC - Handles with Character

Well if you're like me,I'm always on the look out for the best example of any handle material that I can find, but with the release of the steel 73's there was so much variations in the Stag and Cocobolo that I thought maybe there's something to those with quirks...so I began looking..................to find those hidden jewels.............

Pic 1.....So here are a number of Cocobolo knives...the two from the left are what is typically thought of while the second and third from the right were labeled as Dark Cocobolo ( hope you didn't miss these )..and the far right is Ebony for comparison.

Pic 2....A fan favorite..Primitive Bone....whose to tell what's the correct example.............

Pic 3....Two example of Natural Stag...............

Pic 4....Red Stag.................

Pic 5....Burnt Stag...................

Pic 6....The three from the left are Snakewood minus the hiss compared to Cocobolo on the far right......

Pic 7....And lastly the little #66 Calf Ropper in Cocobolo Rosewood

So there maybe one or two jewels here that need a second or third hard look to see its beauty...but one thing for sure.....they all have character...

All very beautiful knives, I have to say, that primitive is the best though. It's hard to get more character in a knife when it looks like that. ::tu::
