NKCA Knife

I had posted this knife a few months ago when I 1st got it.
I still have not got around to asking NKCA about it, but would like to throw it out there again this time with better pictures.
This was the 2006 NKCA club knife that was advertised as being made by Case.
3 Blade trapper with a Wharncliffe blade.
Main blade is stamped Kinfolks
and there are 2 different pattern numbers on the other 2 blades.
The box is stamped with a matching number.
Obviously I know its not a fake, as it came from the NKCA.
Question:
Why is it stamped Kinfolks and not Case? And what is the story behind Kinfolks?
The handle is Walnut, and very nice by the way, why the 2 different pattern numbers?
