All About Pocket Knives

I am a pretty novas knife collector and only a have a few in my collection, so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I stumbled a pone a old horseman’s pocket knife the other day, and am having a hard time identifying the maker, I know it is early to mid 1800’s because it has a farrier’s blade on it, it also has all the other tools, hoof pick, two knife blades, corkscrew, awl, leather punch, tweezers (missing), small metal tooth pick, one tool is broken off, I think it was a button hook, it was smaller than the knife blade and the handle is wood.
Any help with the maker would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I'd say it was made by a Sheffield house.

Most all that I've seen are very similar no matter who made them. I'd say mid to later 1800's for date.

It also has a nut cracker on it. The third picture shows it very clearly. The hoof pick is used while the nut is held in the cutouts in the handle.

The blade on the left in your last picture is a fleam and was used for "bleeding" an animal to make it better. That practice fell out favor in the very early part of the twentieth century.

Hi Jim, welcome to AAPK. That's a striking old knife you have. Probably the best way to get an identification on it is to post clear photographs of any markings on the tang or blade, or try to make them out with a magnifying glass and post what they are.
