I waited long enough for my first GEC and couldn't pass this one by. F&F is unsurpassed and just one great knife to ever detail. This is the only 440c toothpick I have ever seen.
Click picture for enhancement. If you have a toothpick let's see em. Herb

atlatl55,
Good choice for your first GEC, and as it was said......it won't be your last.
As to Toothpicks I own, I have never been a fan of the pattern. I bought a couple less expensive versions to see what others like about them and they did nothing for me. Too slender and too small for my liking. That being said, when I saw GEC's take on them and the slightly larger build I bought one.
Same as yours........
Love the bone and have always been a fan of their 440-C bladed stuff. I have to admit I do like their take on the pattern. And if I were to get any other Toothpicks, they'd likely be GEC's.

I agree with you 2x, the slightly heftier build on the GEC toothpick was more to my liking. I never really cared for the super narrow blades on others. I also like a 3.5" to 4" size knives. I am sold on the quality of the GEC.

Jeff, the GEC knives are about the same price as other quality knives, so just do it and hunt a bargain, you wont regret it.
I bought mine here at AAPK from the member stores, To be more accurate," North west knife company" a fine fellow named Gary Norton.
Thanks Gary

Definitely a great first.
One of my all time favorite patterns too, I haven't held a better trout knife in my hand since I got my first toothpick.
