Can anyone tell me about this German made pocket knife?

My Grandpa gave it to me years ago. It was given to him by his dad’s (my Great Grandpa) brother George Bailey. My grandpa told me that George fought in the Union Army and was in the Battle at Gettysburg. He was also a pow at Andersonville. I have a copy of George’s Civil War Diary and he list a pocket knife as one of his items. It says "Hannover Cutlery LP Germany" at the base of the main blade. I’ve always wanted to know more about the knife. The main blade does lock when you open it, and to close it you must push down on the smaller blade. Any information about this particular knife would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Closed, the length of the knife is just under 4 and 3/4 inches.

The knife was made well after the Civil War.
I have a few of these with different manufactures/retailers name stamped on them

Blade's Guide to Knives and Their Values has a listing for Hanover Cutlery Co. but only says it is (was) an import from Germany.
Goin's Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings also list the stamp but it only has an estimated date range of 1900-1920 and that is admitedly a guess on the part of the author.
