For sale to highest bidder. 2007, model 73 Scout, Great Eastern. Green Tea bone, #37/350. Got this one from Bryan in(I believe)the first roundtable. Factory new. Never carried, never used.
I feel it's time to give back to Bryan. I don't know how much the latest computer crisis cost him but I doubt that it was cheap.
It's nice belonging to a "free" knife club but as we all know,"ain't nuthin' really free".
Thanks to Bryan and the best the best moderators around, we get our dailly dose of knives and a lot more.
The bidding starts now and ends, Sunday, September 11th at 12:00 noon, Central Standard Time. I will notify the winner at the close of bidding. The winner will send the money directly to Bryan and provide me with an address to send the knife to. I will pay insured, priority shipping on the knife.
Thanks for listening. This is a good chance to show Bryan how much we appreciate him and all his hard work.
As always, my pictures are lousy but the knife is great.
Any questions, feel free to ask.

Wow, Guys... GREAT response. I can't take credit for this thing. I believe it was Gunsmoke47 that came up with it several years ago and it just seemed like a good time to revive it. I can't say enough good things about Bryan and the mods and all of the Good Folks that make up the Club. We are a real mixed lot and all together have a great deal of knowledge on a lot of different subjects. Thanks for being there.

Well, looks like the bidding is over. Sorry I wasn't here at noon to respond. WOW

!!! Thanks for all the bids

. I think the response was great. Looks like Joe(FRJ) is the winner. Please send Bryan the moolah and send me your address. I will put your knife in the mail, ASAP.
I certainly don't mind contributing a little to help keep AAPK up and running. Bryan really shouldn't have to pay for all of it out of his pocket.
I really appreciate everbody that has donated a knife for the monthly give away

. You Guys rock!
Thanks again for all the bids and a special thanks to Joe for his more than generous contribution to AAPK.

I am so happy to have won the knife. I don’t own a GEC and wasn’t planning on buying one, but events in ones life have a way of changing ones thinking. Ya think!
I am honored, really, to contribute to the betterment of this great forum in this small way.
We members, as a whole, have such a tremendous thing going here. What a great group of people. What a great place to come to and enjoy the camaraderie of men and women who appreciate fine and worthwhile tools. I have a sense that most of you feel the same way.
Thank you, Bill for the chance to own this nice knife.
Thank you Bryan for pouring coal in the boiler.

Hey fellas,
I just wanted to check in & post a GREAT BIG...
Thank You
to Bill, FRJ & all bidders.
Also, thanks for everyone's kind words of support in this thread & others.
I haven't had a chance to post my thanks as I'm still a bit busy with the incident.
One very positive thing came about due to the chaos. I learned that our backup system works pretty well, but can be improved. I found a few vulnerabilities & I'm in the process of trying to make it more fail-proof... I also have a few more bugs to work out, but we are close to 100% restored.
This has not been fun, but I'm finding silver linings in these clouds
As soon as I get everything completely worked out, I'll post more of the details.

I am finally getting a chance to post and say thank you, CCBill, for the great knife I got bidding on your auction. And a special thank you for "Fluffy". I'll say it isn't the first name that would come to my mind, but Fluffy it is. And thank you for the other nice articles in the package.
The only thing I can say that resembles Fluffy in this neck of the woods is Barny Frank up in Masschusetts.
I've got Fluffy nestled next to some of my hunting books. "It" seems content there.
So, this is my first GEC. I will say it is very well made and solid. It has a number on the bolster, something I'm not used to. A special inline privilege number no doubt. I'm looking forward to packing it in these colder months after sharpening.
Thank you so much for the knife.

Thanks for buying the knife. I'll bet our "Fearless Leader" will put the money to good use.

I only assume Bryan got the money. I hope he did.
