Dating Newer Queen Knives

I hate admit it, but I've never bought a recent-manufactured Queen knife.
I have about a dozen, but none are later than the mid-1980s.

I just bought a Pearl Model 41 Copperhead, and she is a beauty.
I bought it from a wholesaler, who has knives in stock dating back several years.

It has the Q stamp with Titusville, PA USA on the tang with PH-D2 at the bottom.
I was hoping someone could help pin the manufacture date down a little.

I'm working on building a lightbox, so hopefully I will get some nice pictures before too long (I've given up trying to get a decent image with my scanner!). ::idea::

Thanks!

Here are 2 of mine. I think from what you said they should look the same.

As far as the year. Now thats going to be any ones guess. Some can go by the tang stamp. But your tang stamp is very well used on many of Queens knives and it does not go my a year. I was told the on side Q means D2 steel.
