Vintage Pocket Knife Blades

Just wondering what you guys think about eBay sales like this one?

For me, all I can imagine is someone making frankenknives out of these blades and passing them off as rare, vintage finds. Maybe I'm too cynical.

I think it would be a great find for an honest knife mechanic. Blades look unused.

Nice bunch of blades i got that on my watch list i like seein what different auctions go to--couldn't believe what that button brought last week holy s...--think that was somebody off this sight that sold it

It was, it was BigDen. I kinda thought it would go for more, but then I don't know squat about Case memorabilia.

Only one of those look like it MIGHT be an authentic tested blade. I doubt it though.
Im with you 1967.... someone is gonna get screwed on down the line somewhere.

Mark i'm with you ! i hate to see them out there ! next month they will be in a German frame going for 350 a pop.........

Ya i just found the post--i think he should buy a round--i thought that button would fetch around a hundie but what do i know.
The guy with the Case knife blades has a boat load of blanks from other makers too.

You can clearly see at least one has been welded to the tang. OOPS , forgot to grind out the burnt spot...

I'm sure the next guy will doctor it (farthest one on the right) up before dropping it in a nice green bone frame.
