All About Pocket Knives

I'm not wondering about its authenticity,,just wondering if that main blade has been re-profiled or not? The lenght looks ok,, but i'm not sure about the width.

IMHO it is a used knife that has been cleaned heavily and there is a 1/8" - 3/16" of width reduction on both blades , most noticably toward the end of the master blade . Most of this loss was probably due to use and sharpening over the years , but some loss was probably due to straightening during the cleaning process . It is still a great looking knife which is fairly rare and his starting price is reasonable .

** After reading his description , I looked at the last pic more closely and it looks as if there is a large section on the top edge of the front handle which has been repaired expertly with replacement bone .

Ok thats what I was thinking,,
they had taken the bottom edge of the blade away to hide the wear from sharpening.
But I didnt notice the large piece of bone that had been replaced,,all I seen was the two little chips that appear to have been filed.
I'm fixin to go give that front handle another look over.

Here is the one I have that is much more worn than the one you are speaking of. Worn pretty well but the profile is very simliar

Yep,,their like two peas in a pod!
I didnt bid on the other knife,,I stayed out too late and over slept this morning and missed it.

BH, keep in mind that if you delete the picture in photobucket, you will lose it here as well and it will be replaced with the next in line on PB.

i just bought it. i wish i could post pics when i get it in my hands,, but i haven't done pics on the computer in years..

i just got it today. it is stunning. rig is right tho. it is only the very bottom corners on the front scale that has been filled in,, not a bad job. the rest of the front scale is original,, the back scale is flawless... i bought it for less than he had posted,
too bad you can only make out the top part of the tang stamp on these knives. i would love to see the whole stamp. but the bolster covers it.

Chet, if you can email the pics to me, I'll get them posted for you. I'm curious about this one and would like to see more.
