Phin you have obviously not been on the cattle market in a while. Those five cull cows would now be worth closer to $800 each depending on their size and condition. Checked the price of a steak lately?
That is an extrodinary example up for sale. It's hard to find any tool knife in that kind of condition. After all, they were made to be used not collected.

Well I guess I would only have to give 3, and keep the other 2 I don't have.
And yes it has been a while since I have checked the cattle market!

I have been lucky enough to get my hands on one of the alligator Cat tool knives that is in as good a condition as the one being sold. I gues I will get a good idea about how much mine is worth.
Has anyone ever seen these knives in a knife book with a book value?

I think two guys got into a wee wee contest over the knife. I would have loved to have it but 1500.00 was to much for my taste. I thought it would go for around 1200.00 so that shows what I know. When you sell a rare knife in excellent condition you never know what it will bring.
The odd thing for me is I have never seen one of the cat alligator knives in a knife book.
I am lucky enough to be the owner of two of them and one of mine has never been sharpened and shows zero pocket wear. I don't know what it is worth but based on what I know now I wouldn't take 1500.00 for it.
