It's really nice knowin' you Earl. ::handshake::

Monk started me down the GEC path. I bought these three from Ken Daniels at a knife show in February. Seeing those cases full of knives in person started me up.

It's been a nice "'Journey"" so far,my friend !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ::nod:: ::tu::

PS__________seems,I remember you selling that ""Congress"" a few months back (on e-bay) ???? :)

I've been a GEC addict since January of this year. My first order included three knives: a 61 & 62 half congress, a cocobolo 25 (rare one, come to find out), and the GEC book by forum member David Anthony.

You're right monk. My first GEC was that congress. After I got it I found that I didn't like the pattern and I didn't like that knife for some reason, even after GEC made it right. It just didn't suit me and I sold it on eBay as an EDC.

The ones that got me going were the ones I saw at the Lewisburg Show. I intended to buy one and brought home three. I've bought quite a few since, my favorites being the 72s with American elk I think.

You steered me right monk and I thank you! ::handshake:: My GECs give me a lot of pleasure, they are pieces of art. ::ds::

Stuck at work, so no picture, but i remember it like it was yesterday ...

September 2010, mailman dropped off a Tidioute #53 Improved Muskrat in Antique Green bone ....

I uncorked that tube, rolled her out, and literally caught my breath. Sittin all alone at the bottom of the steps in my foyer, I actually said out loud "this is a whole 'nother kinda knife here."

Been hooked ever since. Joined AAPK a month later.

GEC has brought out my tendency to want to own things I don't really need, but very much appreciate.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in the AAPK community, thanks to all you mooks.

That looks great. Hope the new single blades in burnt grizzly look as good. (GECs pic of it doesn't do it justice, IMO)
