hello, any one know any thing about this old knife. i have it on the thursday auction but would like to know something about it. i know it is a western knife. but was this before or after. any info will help. and thanks

In general, it is a West-Cut K5 made by Western, and matching the one illustrated in the 1958 catalog sheet in Platt's book. At a guess it dates to sometime in the 1960s but that's just a guess. Changes in the marks on West-Cuts don't seem to have been exactly parallel to those on other fixed blade knives from Western.
