Swedish?, Danish?, Finnish?, I dunno...

Picked this up at our local trade day, today. No name. Walnut handle. Wrong sheath, but I like it anyway.
Has a brass butt plate held on with 2 brass screws. I may try to check under the handle to see if there might be a name.
Fits my hand really well. I may clean it up and use it.
Anybody know what this style of knife is called? Anybody have any info on it?

Looks Norwegian.
Kind of' like a Brusletto or Helle Hunting knife.
Nice knife. I like it.

J.W. I think you are on the right track. Our Friend, Ulf says the flat, brass butt plate is more common on older Scandanavian knives.
Joe, I don't think it's home made. I have seen knives with this type of handle but it was many, many years ago.

Yea~ The knife's got the look from that region and it does look old.
Let us know if you find any more info on it.
PS. If your going to keep it and you don't hunt or fish, I bet it would make a great knife for kitchen use.
