First off, I'd like to thank each and every member of this site for making it what it is today. For me, it's become a hideaway, a special place where I can share my love of knives to others affected by that strange decease called "collecting", but is it really about the knives? Yeah, I know they are a huge part of it, but they aren't "it" for me, it's you guys that make it great. It's the personalities, the stories, the struggles we all have and all over come, the tough times pass easy when you have shoulders to lean on, you guys have made excellent shoulders. I know some of us may never meet in person, but that doesn't stop the great relationships that form here everyday. There is no hate for "the man" or the guys in charge here, which is, in itself unique. Yes other forums have special bonds, members become close and share what they have, but they also have "clicks", as far as I can tell, and thats fine... for them. When I joined here I was ushered into family, that family has grown by leaps and bounds since then, we get some great guys everyday, if we have a click, it's a huge click. ::smirk::

Generosity is a great trait, a moral that too few lack today, but I see it everyday on here, a knife sent state wide, a gift given to a forum friend from far. That knife means a lot, but only because of how it was obtained.... a gift. So thank you all for sharing what you have. ::handshake::

Well, I received another gift from a great member, 8) JWS blessed me with this beauty. ::ds::

God Bless you guys, keep up the good "work" and keep being the people that make a difference here. ::tu::

Absolutely beautiful knife and what an awesome gift.

I agree.....the "all guards are down" and everybody's a knife lover is good enough for us attitude is what makes this place special....and I've only been around for a few months, but I can just sense it.

Great post Caleb!! ::tu::

Johnny: good looking knife. And thanks for the observation on the "cliqueness" (word?) you encountered on some other forums. I had the same impression but thought my perceptions might be off or a bit skewed. ::handshake::

This is a great place to share a common addiction. The addiction is supported by gentlemen and ladies that allow us seem normal. I hope that my offspring will recognize the reasons that I have a closet full of knives and treat them with the warmth and appreciation I have for them.

I think somehow it ties into the past and how valuable a good knife may have been to those before me. My father carried a quality knife and used it constantly. I (with no malice) think you should carry a knife to be counted among those worthy. Arrogant I know, but it helps me justify my actions.

Thanks for being a great group of people!
