i turned up a set of (4) steak knives...tang stamp is BUCK, in gothic script...scales are some composite...appears to be carbon fiber, only brown?
no pictures, but hours on line have left me in the dark...can't find a thing on these knives...even though i have found BUCK steak knives ::hmm::

several oddities on these knives...they have bolsters... and the serrations appear to be on the wrong side of the knife?

and i don't even collect buck knives

First off, those are Bucks but really not my area. But, there was some recent mention of steak knives over in another Buck forum.

First best guess, they may be 1990 era, Buckcarta handled. They came in a set of four. Older ones in a set of six. Another steak knife handle material, I think on more recent ones, was Pakkawood. I saw Buckcarta in burgundy color mentioned, yours look dark reddish. No mention of carbon. Buck steak knives were made earlier than those and even new ones coming out now. Buck steak knives are closely tied to the discontinued 107 Scout knife.

Slipjoint 300s are my game, maybe one of the fixed blade guys will chime in.
