SOG Tomahawk

I've been looking for one of these to try out as a camp tool for splitting wood (and noggins if need be 
). MidwayUSA had this one on sale for $31 so I thought I would try it out. Looks to be well made, around 15 1/2" handle length, 8 1/2" blade head and 2 1/2" blade cutting surface. Comes with a decent nylon belt sheath that unsnaps easily enough but with enough resistence to keep it from falling out. Picked up a SOG hatchet a few months back but like the size of the tomahawk better.
A little history lesson- from what I have read, tomahawks were used in Vietnam by our servicemen, pretty much sized just like this SOG. I can see how this would have a definite advantage over a fixed blade knife in hand-to-hand combat situations, more easy to maneuver than a bayonet too.
