All About Pocket Knives

I was going through some stuff today and found this old knife that I had forgot about having. I am not sure but I think I might have found it in the same old building that I found an early 1920's Remington. The tang stamp is worn away. I am hoping someone here has a nicer one, with a visible tang stamp. It is rusty but it still has a lot of blade left. Any ideas what it might be? The bottom pics are the tang stamp.

That looks like a Imperial shield, but the cap lifter is usually on the other side. Can you make out any of the tang stamp? Do you have pictures of the early 1920's Remington?

I can't make out any of the stamp. just what you see in the pic. The Remington has lots of wear but both blades snap better than a new Case. I wish it could talk. The scales are still nice. I'm not sure if they are bone or walnut.

The top one FOREST-MASTER BY COLONIAL but I see yours has a long pull so thats my gess.

But I have never been right yet.

Hi Carl. I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination so I am just gonna make a guess. The knife in question looks very similar to a PAL CUTLERY CO. knife I once owned. I couldnt really make hardly anything from the picture of the tang stamp but it does look like it could say either Germany or cutlery across the bottom. More often than not I am wrong about things like this though so like I said it is just a guess.

It does say Cutlery but that's all I can make out.

I'm liking that Remington. It has been a while since Case made a knife of this quality. I'd say your knife is handled in cocobola wood. I've got one about like it.

Ebony is a possiblility too.

You better store them away from your good knives. They could "Blow up" your whole collection.

I'm not for sure what they are but I think the rivets are brass.
