Dame Stoddard and Kendall (now just called Stoddard's) is reputed to be the oldest cutlery sotre in the USA (founded in 1800). They had at one time three stores in the Boston area but now just have one small store in Newton, Massachusetts.

This is one of their house brand knives. These are seldom seen; I have only owned maybe two in the past and they were broken up relics. This one still has the blade etch DSK HUB HAND HAMMERED. I have no idea who made the knife, but my guess based on the marking font is that it dates to pre 1900.
