I actually picked up two, but this is the one I have been wanting to get for the past year!

I actually wanted something in real stag, but the bone stag on this knife looks great! This is the first real nice knife I have bought in about a year or so. We are on vacation, so I took the plunge!! ::tu::

Nice one Mike. ::tu:: I have considered one of those myself. That knife is an interesting blend of modern tactical and traditional slipjoint.

If you put it to work I'd be interested in hearing how it performs.

That is just what I thought when I saw this knife for the first time. The modern tacticals are ugly and all look the same to me. I would bet B&S sells quite a few of them. This is the larger out of the two that I had to choose from at about 4 1/4 inches closed. The other was about 3 1/2".

I think you may be correct after looking at those photos you posted. I am glad I passed on them as the girl at Mast General said they were hand made in Tennessee. ::uc:: Maybe I just misunderstood what she said!

Well, Tennessee / Alabama, that's close enough. i have this knife in damascus. I use it in my EDC rotation. I'm not hard on it but it does exactly what I need it to do. The liner lock is true & strong. The only thing wrong is the blade rides just a tad high in the closed position, you can just barely feel the point. Plus, they made two sizes - a 3" closed & one larger - which one are you getting?
