All About Pocket Knives

here's a wiss/boker and some odd ones I came across.
Wiss/boker Commemorative 1848-1973,fake bone,it's a shame it's mising the shield and not much chance of finding one I wouldn't think.

The group of 3..top 2 are Toledo's and the bottom is a Yamanaka,Japan.
Allways cool to find stuff you haven't seen before even if it's not top dollar stuff.

Nice catch! I'd probably try to make a shield for it. Even though it isn't an original,it would fill the gap.
Those Toledo knives;they look almost like the ones made in Sweden by EKA and others.I have a couple and one has a gun blued finish although most of it is gone.

I actually have a Wiss shield from one of the Bokers that year. It came from a small stockman which was about the size of a Case model 33 so it is quite small. What length is your knife? The shield I have is slightly smaller than a round pencil. Let me know if you need it.

Bob, I appreciate the offer,but it may be too small?..this this knife is 3 1/2 long..the shield is about 1/4 at the wide/round parts and about 7/8 long so I don't know,sound close?

Sounds like I have the next smaller size than you need. It was worth a try though.

I have one of those Boker/Wiss knives that I bought off eBay a few years ago. I remember the first thing I had to do was glue the shield back on.

hey redrider, no kidding huh?..well that explains where mine went!
It's probably in some drawer of the orig owner.
That shield looks cast..maybe?

catt57, not sure, looks like some kind of white metal.

Maybe pewter?
