This Vintage Miller Brothers Cutlery Meriden CT 3-7/8" Stag Stockman knife has not been used and carried and is mint. knife does not look to have been cleaned and looks all original! knife has genuine india stag scales without any cracks or chips .All blades still have good snap.Good looking knife!

I can't tell much about the knife, but I would assume Miller Brothers would have better fit on their scales.

It looked like a rehandle job to me even before I noticed the infamous red background.

Pure junk. Compare it to the Case Tested fake stag stockman that was posted recently. Same basic knife, same basic fake.

Oh, not this seller again.

My sentiments exactly.

As many knives as that guy has sold over the years, I can't help but be surprised by the number of fakes that are going through his store.

Caveat Emptor I guess.

Another thing, I can count on one hand how many original MB knives I have seen with genuine Stag handles...............and still have 4 fingers left over

What is wrong with the last Miller that you posted in the link. I know that most Miller Bro. knives have screws in the handles. Is that the reason you say this one is fake?

Everything, the entire knife is fake. Take a close look at the tang stamps, they are the same as the first knife posted.

Just looking at the knife with the blades closed, never mind what the tangs are stamped, says fake to me, the handle material, bolsters, etc.

Actually more turn up without screws, so you can`t go by that.

I see that this seller placed a LARGE advertisement in my favorite magazine. KNIFE WORLD. it really diappoints me that 20 bidders wanted this knife. If I knew how to stop it, I would. I don't mind people selling redone knives at all, just don't mislead people in thinking they are original. 20 years from now, a book will be written on collectable FAKE knives. I don't doubt there'll be a price guide too. It really is a shame to be honest with you.

Where has honesty gone, "NO WHERE" it hasn't ever shown up as far as I know.

Just wondering if you could post a couple of good pictures of a real Miller Bros. Cut. stamp so I could see the difference. I'm confused because the second knife you say is fake has a nice patina and the seller certainly isn't making any brash claims. I have bought from him before and found him to always be above board.
