All About Pocket Knives

I received an email from a gentleman who is not a knife collector. He asked me to post this here on the forums...

Can you provide any information about a gentleman named Samuel Mason (formerly from Sheffield England). He along with a fellow by the name of Binns, started a Cutlery Co. around 1867 in Rochester Pa. then moved to Beaver Falls,Pa and purchased the Beaver Falls Cutlery Co. Mason lived in Connecticut around 1855-5?? then again around 1880 and put together a scrap book that I have had in my family for over 70 yrs. It was found in an abandoned home in New Haven Ct around 1939.I am trying to locate a family member or any information that I can use to get this most intesting journal/scrap book to someone who would appreciate its history and possible value.

Here is some info regarding this company from Goin's encyclopedia of cutlery markings page 20. Excerpt reprinted from the 1875 1875 Beaver Falls city directory. LT PS I am the fellow who emailed you regarding your item i then began to research it and this is the first reference I encountered.
