does case really have a monopoly on a dual knife sheath? Ive searched the internet for days and cannot find a sheath for holding two fixed blades that isnt for a twin fin or buck 102 and 103. they simply dont make them. who doesnt want two knives in one sheath? i mean obviously, if one goes on any extensive expedition he knows that he shoudlnt use his camp knife that he chops woods and such with for food. thus the need for a second knife for gutting game, slicing food, and keeping contamination to a minimum. two knife sheaths seperately are okay i guess, but the two in one deal seems so much better for me. Guess I shouldnt went with a twin finn set

You are probably going to be looking at custom work to get the sheath set up the way you want it, for the blades you want to carry. You might want to take a look at the sheaths from RMB Custom Leather in the AAPK Club Member Stores, and maybe contact them about the project.
Twin sheaths are unusual for a reason. Except for specialized applications such as carrying a pair of knives for field dressing large game, they seem to add weight and bulk, with little improvement in function. The few pros--hunting guides etc--who carry such things usually have them in their packs.
I built a couple for a pair similar to what you are contemplating (Western G46-6 and an L48). One sheath was stacked (like the one you picture), the other had the knives side-by-side. I finally gave up on them as a bad idea simply due to the bulk. The sheaths would catch or snag on anything, where a single sheath would stay tucked closer to the body.
Good luck, and if you build one, post pics! I really like the idea too, just can't get it to work for me.

That's my idea coffee, carrying in/attached to a pack. Lots of expeditions planned for this summer week plus long with little or no food to take along. The idea is self sufficiency. Want two fixed blades for different purposes. It's not gonna be a belt knife sheath to be carried that way, just reducing bulk in the pack and having the two handy at once. I have found someone to make me a nice one but I was looking to get something cheaper if I could, not nylon. When I get it I'll post some pics on here.
Something like this would work for my purposes as well. Top pocket of a pack.
I think i do prefer the twin finn setup though.
