well heres the story i inherited this carving set off my grandparents and i am just wondering about its age. the the blade is quite old and badly needs cleaning but a booth brothers stamp can just about be made out. its a fairly standard set complete with sharpening steel and fork in its original case. so if anyone can help me out with figuring out how old it is, it would be most appreciated

Circa 1900-1920. Possibly a little later. What year were your grandparents married?

Booth Brothers sold out in 1909 to Tidioute Cutlery. So its at least a 100 years old. Nice find. Booth is VERY collectable. I have more info on Booth in my last book from GEC. Also Phil's book on NJ Cutlery companies expounds upon it as well. NICE
