All About Pocket Knives

I have a Puma 501 fish knife with a knocker end and scale on the blade. The date stamp is 40482. I would like to know when this knife would have been made.

I may be wrong, but if I understand their dating chart, that knife was made in the second quarter of 1984.

You're spot on Paul, only it's second half of '84.
