All About Pocket Knives

Today I tried to pre-order a Schatt & Morgan Heritage knife. I clicked on the add to cart button which took me to Paypal. I logged onto Paypal and the screen wanted the email address and the amount to send. I emailed the dealer and asked what email addres they wanted the money sent to. They responded that all I had to do was click on the add to cart button. This is the second dealer that has responded in this way. All they have to do is give me a Paypal email. I guess they're not interested in sales, go figure.

i'm not sure which retailers you've tried, but i tried collectorknives.net and it worked fine.

Tim Walker. This is what happens to me.

After you pick your knife and add it to your cart. then go to your cart.

Your Shopping Cart now it asks you how to pay. click on PayPal.

Choose a way to pay

Now you are at PayPal. just log in.

Log in to my PayPal account

As I told him (I am the one he tried 5/2), there has to be something in the security settings on his browser, etc. If it was being attempted from the Blackberry then there is no telling where the problem lies. Since the cart passes more information than just my email address I need certain information for accounting reasons. Especially with all the identity theft going on today. But, I did tell him that the email address he was emailing me at was the one for paypal if he wanted to try it. So, I guess I am a little at a loss as to what the problem was.

If someone has accidentally left their paypal account logged on; a thief can send money to a business and just change the mail-to address; but they cannot go thru a checkout without the password. Thus there are also valid reasons for not doing this for a new customer. Obviously he is not a crook, but I have thought the same thing before and they turned out to be a crook (most crooks are more convincing than honest people). Here is the script (in reverse).

There must be some script blocking going on or something. Like I say, many orders daily and that is the first time I have heard that one in 7 years. This is the email address associated with the paypal account if you want to try it; but please include all the information in the transaction.

If i exit my Paypal without logging off it automaticly loggs off for me--happened to many times i think it dose it in a matter of secounds

Paypal will timeout a session in about 5-10 minutes if the screen is still up. If you close the screen or go to another website it will end the session in less than a minute. But even if you have one screen logged on to paypal and with another screen add something to a cart from a website that uses them as a payment processor; the cart will require another login to access the account. That is an added security layer that will save a lot of fraud from happening.
