That does sound a bit small...I'd like to see a pic with the blade closed.
I wonder if that's a new frame...I can't tell......

Right on Earl...a Northfield with long pull on the blade and fancy bolsters would be nice.....and add some stag.......

LOL,I hear ya bro.blink twice and you got $300 to $500 worth of knives on order
just in case & trey,I'm kinda in that camp EXCEPT its more about frame size for me, if they made a single blade Northfield version or a GEC SS w/acorn shield, long pull OR swedged, ringed bolster, horn, stag, snakewood, nice bone,etc... I'd be LICK'N MY CHOPS!!!

If they made the same thing with a clip, spear or wharncliffe blade, I'd be saving
my pennies.

Yup, the long pull and end cap/ringed bolsters does click it up a notch or two … and actually, the Ebony easy open with no nail nick and the plain bar shield looks kinda classy.
Thankfully, I have never gotten into the Cotton Sampler / Pruner knives much … and maybe I'll keep it that way for now - my passion for Whittlers has got me on a mac 'n' cheese diet until August already …

Earl,
What's the closed length of that Schatt? I too am thinking if they'd offer a single blade N'field I'd be mighty tempted. The GEC 3 1/2" frame is just right, IMO.

WBob, agreed,I don't care for the pen blade either, single blade I'd be tempted but my paws are jus too big for a 3 1/2 user, have to be a safe queen, plus there is some real interesting stuff coming down the pipeline from GEC
biglmbass the Schatt is 4 1/8 closed
