All About Pocket Knives

My collection of the brown stag Colts is just about complete. From the first one of these I was impressed with the fit and finish and overall quality the knives exhibited. All of these get worked into my EDC rotation but I do have favorites. One of the things I find most desirable about these are the blade shapes. A lot of spear points, all with great swedges and many with long pulls. Of all the inexpensive Chinese made knives, these are by far my favorites.

I too have been impressed with the looks and quality/price ratio of these Colt knives. The brown stag bone handles are really beautiful IMO. I carried one of the teardrop jacks for a year and really found nothing to complain about in the way it functioned. I'm packing a Canal Street congress for now but that Colt is still in my standby pile waiting its turn back in my pocket.

thank you kind sir that is very nice, love those bolsters as well, has it a nice snap to the blade when opening and is the fit and finnish overal good, they appear realy well made, i do like the brown stag

Very nice collection. I too was impressed by the level of quality in the new Colt line of slippies, particularly these of the Brown Stag Bone Series. I only have two of them, the two Gunstocks........







......very well put together slipjoints. Rock solid fit and finish. A mite fancier overall than what I prefer in my slippies but I ain't complaining. And for the money a real hard one to beat.



I have a few American made pieces in my collection that costed individually twice as much as both of these together that ain't fit as well.

Great knives for the money.

The tear drop jack is one of my favorites, I bought this one on Ebay with the bear already inlet into the bone...just really caught my eye. It is the first of the Colts I bought and I was so impressed with the overall quality I decided to collect the entire set of brown stag. It is kinda neat to own a complete set of anything and these are inexpensive enough for anyone to collect a full set.

Here is the only Colt I own. Although a really small knife, the fit and finish is right there... I bought this one because it looked cool, Now I may be buying a few more. For the $14.00 I spent, I was impressed with the box alone, not to mention the fantastic bonestag handles. Truly a big knife of small size in a lockback.

I placed an order at Smokey Mountain Knife Works and because it was over $100 they included this Colt for free. Just got it last night, I'll give it a try.
