Next Thursday I'll be heading to a colonial market fair at Fort Frederick in Big Pool, MD.
I will be traveling through a bit of PA. I'll be on 78 to 81 down into MD.
Does anyone know of some good places to buy pocket knives along that route? I may need to stop here and there. It will be close to a 10 hr drive.
While at the colonial market I will be buying a reproduction pocket knife of the 1700's ::tu:: and maybe even one from the 1600's ::groove:: .
I'll make sure to post pictures of what ever I find.
Thank you.

J

There's a shop just outside of Intercourse, PA called Country Knives...not too far off I-81 if you have a couple spare hours to kill. I ran across it when I was working in the area about 6 years ago. It's in a log structure, if I remember correctly. Nice shop...address is 4134 Old Philidelphia Pike, Intercourse, PA 17534 if you want to check it on a map.
Also, they have a website: http://www.countryknives.com/

Yes it's a great shop they sell mostly new knives and there prices are OK. The owner is named Brian and he buys on ebay under ctryknives. He has a great collection of knife paper, billheads, ads, letters etc. If he is there and you want to see some knife history ask and he might show you a few of the binders he has. Have a safe trip.
