Is this russian ?

I got this through today from serbia, it was part of a trade i did with a guy for some lighters i had, ive no clus about it but i did a search on what i think it says and i get russia come up ? also what pattern is this type, as always guys thanks in advance for any help,
i can read iskra but what is the other part thats worn away

Is it a single bladed doctors knife
also what is the scales made from, appears to have shrunk ?
there does appear to be single bladed doctors knives available

Zed Posability That read "Rostfrie" for rust free or stainless. Just a guess.

that was a big help as just found this
Rostfrei=Stainless.
The only word "rostfrei", like "stainless", don't mean anything, except the fact than the knife is on Inox steel.
Typically the blade marked "rostefrei" (or "stainless") are on 420 (A, B or C) or 420 modified.
In some case are on 440 (A or B).
Most of the blade only marked "rostfrey" aren't of good quality (and are made on "rosfrei" 420 A or B), but not all.

Paul,
Thats a nice little knife. I would call it a barehead jack and not a doctors (IMO). The doctors and physicians knives are generally seen with the flat pill buster end. It looks like a great one to carry

Thanks tim, it need a good clean so ill do that when i get back from my break, ive never heard og the pattern you mention, another to my list
i said doctors as has the same kind of shape and is long, ill go and check out the barehead jacks,

Gentlemen,
I am new to AAPK, but I also have a similar ISKRA knife. I just listed it on eBay and have no idea what it will fetch.
I picked it up at a flea market and have not been very successful in determining its history. To be of Russian origin makes sense, but why would they write the word ROSTFREI in German?
It is a nice knife and I was temped to hang onto it for personal carry, but I have caught the eBay auction "bug".
