All About Pocket Knives

Sorry, I'm a newbie to knife collecting. I found this knife the other day and it appears to be old but in very good condition. The sheath it's in has a S on the front of it. The main blade of the knife has what appears to be a crown that is position between what I think are two letters, maybe a J and a R or a K. Hard to tell. It's a multi tool knife. I've tried to take pics of it and post them here to help. Thanks for any help with this.

Definitely European with horn handles.

Great knife in GREAT shape. Hard to find them with the "removable tools" still with the knife.

I have one made by Sears & Son Germany that is very similar, but I don't think yours is by the same manufacturer.
I'm sure someone will know more than I do......

Might try taking a picture of the tang stamp with out the flash. Outside light in a shadow works very well.

I have a couple that are very similar and mine are both from Henckels. Actually, I think one or even both are still in their original boxes. I'll have to dig them out and check.

welcome to the forum, very nice looking knife you have there, im sure you will get the info you need on here as lots of top guys here, as said a goood tang stamp pic will help alot good luck and enjoy your knife .

If you could post close up pictures of those markings you will get better results identifying.

I have several knives of that size and type that are marked A.Kastor that have pearl scales.Strangely enough I have a horn handled one that is nearly identical to yours and it is unmarked.

sorry for being so late in saying thanks to everyone who has replied and tried to ID this knife. As requested I have included a few more pics. Hopefully they will show the markings a little better.

You will need to post a better picture of the marks.
I can see the crown which probably means this knife is English.
The knife also looks to be made of stainless which would make it 20th century.
If you could put the blade with the marks half way shut (in between open and closed)
Then take a close up photo with no flash using a bright light above it and holding the camera steady or use a tripod making sure you get all of the mark in the shot.
I might be able to narrow it down to who the maker was which would also help narrow down the age of the knife.

The blades are carbon steel, not stainless steel.

The construction and materials used suggest the knife was made in Germany to me.

I am not familiar with that makers mark ans as suggested a better picture would be helpfull in identifying it.
