All About Pocket Knives

I traded a lighter i had with a friend of mine who has started fiddling with knives and making a few, he did the handles on this knife, its a lovely knife in the hand and came razor sharp as i would of excpected from him just wanted to share it on here,

cheers mate, both scales and firesteels handles are Walnut, they make a nice camping pair

What's your overall opinion of the knife? A local iron monger sells Eye Witness knives and I am tempted to try one. Thanks. s-k

well made, i would get another and really like the bone barlow they do, i might email tham to see what there prices are like as not priced up on there site, would be nice to have a few sheffield knives

I got me one.
A little expensive but a very well made and beautiful Barlow.
Stag handles with file work.

That is really nice, if you dont mind me asking what is expensive ? is this one of there top models due to the amount of work on it, i would like just a plain smooth boned barlow they make but possibly out of my price range

If I recall this knife cost me $150 or so US Dollars.
I'll see if I can find a price for you on one with bone and no file work.
Probably much cheaper with a single blade as well.
Should be cheaper in the UK also.

Thanks for that mate ive added that to my favourites, ive seen the one i might go for first once i have the funds, it looks like a solid model, not sure about the castrator blade though

sorry been on nights so just popping on and off , fair point jamie, i think i would have to fondle one first before paying that kind of money but well out of my price range, i will try one of there cheaper barlows though out of interest

This is an old thread but I didn´t want to open another one:

I´ve got my sight on a Taylors Eye Witness Barlow for a while but found them quite expensive. This Barlow popped up several times on german Ebay but was used and still expensive. A few days ago the seller decreased the asking price significantly and I jumped on it. A bit os polishing brought it back to it´s former glory. Dang, i´d love one of those stag handled ones as well....

I'll keep an eye out for one for you.

This is the only Eye Witness knife that I have.
I bought it in the AAPK weekly auction a few years back.
I can't speak for the newer ones, but I think this oldie gets and keeps as good an edge as any knife I've ever carried.

Only one I own as well. Bought it a couple years back. the joint quality does not measure up to USA older standards IMO. But a beautiful knife for display.
