Knife Cleaner

Don't know about the price tag on it but thought it was neat. Wonder how it worked? Looks like it has a label on the side that might tell how it worked.
Wish I could afford the price they want out of it. That would be a neat conversation piece!

Made a couple decent offers and the seller only came down to $1295.00
Too much for me, didnt even say if it still worked.

SMKW had a couple that had been restored for $500, I am not sure if they are still there or not. All I have seen at auction usually go for around that (5 Hundred) these days. Bruce Voyles had one a couple of years ago that sold for $300 + extras.
Years ago.......kitchen cutlery had alot of carbon in them and would just about rust overnight. These things had grit in them like sand and you just stuck your knife in and turned the crank and it cleaned it up. Butcher shops, hotels that kind of place had them. It made cleaning cutlery faster.
I have a couple, one polishes with felt pads and the other is a cleaner with brass bushings inside. All wooden ones I have seen (including LT's) were English made.
If you think about it, that grit would carry lots of mean critters.
